Brief:
Grey London wanted to undertake an investigation of treatments and approaches in creating their Hugo Boss Orange perfume bottle by evaluating the most economical method with the technical skill to produce and finalise the product to P&G high quality standards.
|
Our Role:
We were requested to replicate a bottle from the P&G range with multiple facades and surfaces utilising our ability to approach cgi with a high-end photographic realism to create an identical image with lighting, shape and glass texture.
|
Production / Solution:
Using the bottle for reference, this was measured and modelled perfectly to the physical asset. Once this was complete specific varying glass shaders we constructed allowed the interaction of light to reflect and refract differently holding the glass form and facades eligible. To create the realist quality to the product, it came down to the lighting. This was treated with the same processions as a photographic shoot, with each form to the bottle being lit differently to create the best shape and stylisation throughout the product. On completion of the 10,000 pixel render this was then taken into retouching and finalised ensuring all the detailing was perfect.
|
Result:
The overall value and finish of the cgi bottle, with our photographic realism applied to the glass detailing, brought a new high level standard of cgi for Grey to investigate. Compatible to a photographic asset in quality as well as adding incredible value as an asset that can be used again and again for different angles and multiple executions in different mediums.
