Brief:
The Operators were commissioned to undertake the high end retouching on the KIA campaign using assets shot by photographer Trigger, we then looked at taking the still campaign to the next level onto digital displays with integrated movement.
|
Our Role:
The Operators overall role was to undertake the creative retouching within the campaign. From creating the hut tub image from multiple frames, The Operators approached David & Goliath to take the campaign onto the OOH displays with footage that The Operators shot in conjunction with all the layered and colour construct.
|
Production / Solution:
Compositing all the photographic elements together. These were all finessed and finalised to the highest photographic realism. Finally bedded together with a specific colour stylisation, which was introduced throughout the campaign to create a seamless series.
Once all parties had approved the image, The Operators then undertook breaking the image into usable simplified sections to allow for the still image to be taken into an interactive arena. The Operators then undertook their own video work, recording a bubbling hot tub. The most ideal water was then isolated, extracted and composited the material into the still hot tub shot.
Different underwater spot lights were added and a colour pattern was created to simulate the environmental colour change. Subtitles were then added throughout the 10sec display. These added for a stimulating image and a stronger appealability to the viewer. These included a slight pan into the image, the steam rising off the hot tub generated in post, turning the window light on, and a gentle flickering of the candle flame within the porch.
All of these subtle and beautify interactive elements were then finalised together with identical matching colour from digital through to print.

Result:
The IMAGEmotion piece was tested on the London Waterloo digital display with client, agency, and media providers assessing the works functionality and worthiness. The final outcome was a nun-animus decision from all parties that the work was a success.
