Grey Days – Showpiece 2011

The Operators continuing experimentation with mixed media and technical disciplines has culminated in a showpiece that combines a multitude of services into one monument-us showreel. Taking the photographic realism lead from the world of print, The Operators have transferred their skill set from the static realm into the moving field.

The Operators invited photographer/director Stuart McClymont to collaborate on a unique project. Part of the work involved the use of existing retouched photographic campaigns to be seamlessly blended within the narrative of the showreel which meant compositing and camera tracking these images into a video format.

Using emerging technologies to blur the boundaries of creative disciplines – we are dedicated to exploring techniques that integrate cross platform mediums, from still imagery to motion pieces. The studio’s interdisciplinary approach aims to widen the scope of digital artwork so that it resonates across multiple disciplinary executions.
